Cel This project follows on from the current work of the Leonardo project entitled "Specialist language courses for the dentistry and dental engineering sector" (D/95/A/159). An analysis conducted before the start of the project showed that promoting linguistic proficiency should commence at the initial vocational training stage. In contrast to the target group comprising qualified trainees, it can be anticipated in the case of those still undergoing initial vocational training that this will, besides consolidating the subject matter, also promote creativity and innovation parallel to bilingual general-education schooling via the teaching content. This is becoming increasingly important for employees in SMEs.Traditional didactic-methodical concepts are oriented towards reproductive learning. However, capacity for improvisation and imaginativeness play a particularly important role in the dental engineering sector. Productive learning is becoming increasingly important in the initial vocational training process. This is precisely where the objective of the project concept lies. The aim is to internationalise programme content in initial vocational training by drawing up a specialist curriculum and specialist language materials for English. This will take account of alternative forms of teaching and methods in order to facilitate language programmes parallel to vocational training. A longer -term objective is for exchange programmes to be set up with other European countries for language training during the vocational training period, for language to be incorporated into the vocational training regulations and for transnational networks to be initiated between all of those involved in vocational training. The end-product will comprise suggestopaedic material to be used in such a way that even learners with little previous knowledge will be able to work with specialist language content (e.g. typical passive construction of specialist technical language). Initially planned is a specialist language programme for the English language to be used in Iceland and Germany.ImpactThe project promotes linguistic competence in the field of dental engineering at European level. Linguistic skills can, in the long-term, have an effect on the mobility behaviour of those involved.Contract number : D/96/1/02006/PI/III.1.a/FPIDomaine : Initial vocational trainingContents : Language skills Training in SMEs Products : Short training courses Semi-autonomous/ flexible training Book, manual, guide Public : Young people in training Trainers, designers & managers of training programmes Teachers Program(-y) ET-LEONARDO DA VINCI 1 - Action programme for the implementation of a European Community vocational training policy Leonardo da Vinci, 1995-1999 Temat(-y) III.1.a - Support for the development of language skills Zaproszenie do składania wniosków Data not available System finansowania CSC - Cost-sharing contracts Koordynator HAUS DER TECHNIK E.V.
