Objective The aim of this project is to design and validate a method for learning French and German based on an interactive case-study of business contacts between German and French companies. The project arises from the partners' identification of a common problem, i.e. reciprocal misunderstanding of cultural, economic and commercial contacts and a lack of case-study oriented methods and tools for business language learning and exchange. Based on reciprocity of exchange, this method will lead to the creation of specific tools available in German and French: a paper-based document with simulation material and a CALL tool for individual assimilation of grammar and vocabulary (self-study). ImpactThe German and French language-learning method designed by the project partners will combine:- acquisition and practice of business language;- awareness and assimilation of intercultural factors in business;- a comparative approach to commercial practices.Contract number : F/96/1/00005/PI/III.1.a/FPCDomaine : Continuing vocational trainingContents : Language skills Products : Open and distance learning material Group training with tutor Video cassette Public : Managers/ Owners of SMES Workers in companies Trainers, designers & managers of training programmes Programme(s) ET-LEONARDO DA VINCI 1 - Action programme for the implementation of a European Community vocational training policy Leonardo da Vinci, 1995-1999 Topic(s) III.1.a - Support for the development of language skills Call for proposal Data not available Funding Scheme CSC - Cost-sharing contracts Coordinator CHAMBRE DE COMMERCE ET D'INDUSTRIE DE LYON EU contribution No data Address 20 Rue DE LA BOURSE 69002 Lyon France See on map Total cost No data
