Reciprocal method for learning business French and German

Objective

The aim of this project is to design and validate a method for learning French and German based on an interactive case-study of business contacts between German and French companies.

The project arises from the partners' identification of a common problem, i.e. reciprocal misunderstanding of cultural, economic and commercial contacts and a lack of case-study oriented methods and tools for business language learning and exchange. Based on reciprocity of exchange, this method will lead to the creation of specific tools available in German and French: a paper-based document with simulation material and a CALL tool for individual assimilation of grammar and vocabulary (self-study).

Impact
The German and French language-learning method designed by the project partners will combine:
- acquisition and practice of business language;
- awareness and assimilation of intercultural factors in business;
- a comparative approach to commercial practices.
