Career guidance partners: a developing concept

Objetivo

Career guidance has an important role within the context of initiatives to help young people enter the workforce and increase their chances of being employed. However, it cannot, at present, provide very many answers concerning the prerequisites for access to employment or provide much knowledge on the state of the economic environment. The aim of this project is to bring together all partners involved in professional information and careers guidance and integrate companies fully into this system.

The partners will firstly analyse conditions in the various partner regions and draw up a list of projects involving companies in the careers selection process. Taking this as a starting point and on the basis of a jointly defined methodology, they will create or adapt career guidance tools to help establish companies as career guidance centres. The partners hope that a new career profile, that of occupational project facilitator, will be created over a period of time.

Impact
To involve companies in the career selection process and improve young people's access to information about the working environment.
