Objectif Training programmes on the environmental consequences of industrial activity and possible solutions have only reached a small percentage of companies, often missing those with the greatest need. The partners in this pilot project aim to create and develop vocational training modules which improve the knowledge and awareness of young workers so that they enter the workforce with skills that can be used by industry (especially SMEs) to improve environmental performance and competitiveness. They will achieve this by producing:- a series of fully developed, relevant and tested training materials including an environmental training course in 8 modules;- a database of case studies and examples relating to specific industrial sectors and vocations;- a trainer's guide;- text and homework materials;- problem exercises to support an interactive training regime;- an interactive training package to facilitate teaching of the course;- and an Internet support site.ImpactThe main impact will be the introduction of environmental training into vocational training with the aim of improving industrial competitiveness while satisfying the need to respect the environment.Contract number : IRL/96/1/10029/PI/I.1.1.a/FPIDomaine : Initial vocational trainingContents : Training in environmental protection Industrial change Vocational qualificationsProducts : Training programmes/ curriculum Distance training Book, manual, guide Public : Young people in training Young workers Trainers, designers & managers of training programmes Programme(s) ET-LEONARDO DA VINCI 1 - Action programme for the implementation of a European Community vocational training policy Leonardo da Vinci, 1995-1999 Thème(s) I.1.1.a - Initial vocational training Appel à propositions Data not available Régime de financement CSC - Cost-sharing contracts Coordinateur CLEAN TECHNOLOGY CENTRE (CTC) Contribution de l’UE Aucune donnée Adresse RTC, ROSSA Avenue, BISHOPSTOWN Cork Irlande Voir sur la carte Coût total Aucune donnée
