Objetivo With the creation of the European single market and the liberalisation of world trade, the economic environment of European business has undergone significant change. Increasing competition from foreign companies of different size and structure, and the need for different expertise and experience, is a challenge for well structured, expanding firms. SMEs, however, must develop other strategies to remain competitive in this new environment. The human resources factor is a key element in this process. In a market characterised by change, the retail trade in many European countries is particularly vulnerable because of the absence of training structures to promote human resources development. This programme seeks to encourage dialogue between partners involved in training at European level in order to establish appropriate policies and mechanisms for development in the sector. Partners will exchange information on the retail trade, focusing on trends, needs and qualifications. This will lead to the : identification of common core skills for different occupational profiles; development of common training programmes and materials for each; and definition of common assessment and certification procedures. Materials will include a guide to the methodology used, training programmes, modules and materials for the profiles developed, and a guide on assessment procedures.ImpactThe project will establish a European network for promoting vocational training and transparency of qualifications in the retail trade. It will also establish a structure for a common European policy on human resources development in this sector.Contract number : EL/97/1/28148/PI/I.1.1.b/FPCDomaine : Continuing vocational trainingContents : Vocational qualifications Sectoral development Social DialogueProducts : Training programmes/ curriculum Short training courses Group training with tutor Public : Workers in companies Trainers, designers & managers of training programmes Representatives of employers group Programa(s) ET-LEONARDO DA VINCI 1 - Action programme for the implementation of a European Community vocational training policy Leonardo da Vinci, 1995-1999 Tema(s) I.1.1.b - Continuing vocational training arrangements Convocatoria de propuestas Data not available Régimen de financiación CSC - Cost-sharing contracts Coordinador ETHNIKH SYNOMOSPONDIA ELLHNIKOU EMPORIOU (ESEE) Aportación de la UE Sin datos Dirección 42 MHTROPOLEOS 105 63 Athens Grecia Ver en el mapa Coste total Sin datos
