Holographic authenticity sensors (HOLOAUTHENTIC)

Objective

Public health and safety, ethical, economic and cultural issues are forcing the Community to undertake strong initiatives and actions against fraud. The project is targeted to the development of innovative methodologies and instrumentation to fight the fraud encountered in a variety of sectors, from illegal marketing of pharmaceuticals to trade of raw materials, high-tech industrial products, jewelry, and antique artifacts. The proposed methods are relying on the production of miniature holographic elements on the items by direct laser-based methods. The project elaborates with synergy with existing authentification and concludes with specific novel instrumentation and standards for universal application and worldwide exploitation.
