Ziel

Six countries and a number of private foundations as thefirst Institute founded CB in 1991 for Advanced Study in CEE. It aims to rebuild the international contacts of scholars and academic institutions of this region by offering a common temporary work place in Budapest for outstanding Western and Eastern scholars. CB invited 264 scholars, and has emerged as a major international academic centre with innovative projects of co-operation between East and West.
