Objetivo The proposed project comprises:Laboratory studies of the co-utilisation of biomass and natural gas;Development of a hydrolysis oil/natural gas and gasified biomass/natural gas burners; Pilot scale testing of the technology;Development of advanced controls and systemsintegration;Technical, environmental and social assessment of the technologyoptions;Project co-ordination, exploitation and securing commercial demonstration.The project is principally aimed at two applications; the use of biomass and natural gas in the supplementary firing stages of the heat recovery steam generation sections of mid-sized gas turbine-based systems, and on the joint utilisation of natural gas and biomass in standard boiler/steam turbine systems but with extensions for NOx reduction.
