The ability to extract and analyse data from the ever increasing mountain of web-based product information is seen as one of the major obstacles to eCommerce in the multilingual Information Society.
The starting point of project LOCOMOTIVE is the integration of an eCustomer relationship management (eCRM) system into the e-product and e-service environment. The aim is to facilitate the networked-based customer relationship process in order to meet the needs of multilingual Trans-European markets.
At the core of LOCOMOTIVE is the Solution V(c) product of one of the consortium partners, designed to handle the cross-lingual and cross-cultural customisation process, thus reducing product launch time and costs.
The LOCOMOTIVE approach will be trailed in two linguistic settings in the first instance - addressing the German and Greek markets respectively.
Results :The results of this exploratory phase of LOCOMOTIVE will comprise a number of reports exploring the business user needs of cross-language eCRM systems.
