Objective Minority language newspapers throughout Europe are facing tough competition from net-based digital information services which have a good market penetration but which tend to be published mainly in the major languages. Minority newspapers therefore need to harness the new technologies to their advantage if they are to survive this cultural invasion.MNM aims to implement a series of innovative and economically viable product ideas to enable minority language media to increase their market penetration by reaching a more dispersed as well as by increasing their competitiveness across cultural and linguistic barriers. Finally, the results of the findings will be disseminated at the 1st meeting of the European Association of Minority Dailies in 2002.
