Participation in the Nuclear Science Symposium and Medical imaging Conference, Lyon, France October 2000 (NE)

Objectif

The Nuclear Science Symposium and Medical imaging Conference (NSS-MIC) brings together annually the scientific communities active in radiation detectors and in medical imaging. It is an event of high scientific relevance in the field, recognized at world level.

In 2000 this conference will take place in Europe for the first time, thus offering a unique opportunity to young European researchers to participate at a lesser cost. Notwithstanding the central location of the event in Lyon, France, young researchers may find it difficult to receive support covering travel, subsistence, registration fees and enrolment in tutorials.

This request is meant ordinarily to provide financial help to young researchers from Member States of the European Union to participate in the conference and more specifically to enrol in the tutorials.

Objectives:
1 - To subsidize the participation of young researchers in the short courses and tutorials offered by the conference programme;
2 - To contribute to the payment of the teachers for the short courses and tutorials.
