Objective
The target of OREMA is to improve the efficiency of electricity generation while reducing pollutant emissions. This will be achieved by means of the development of an integrated platform in which an optimisation system for operation and maintenance activities will consider both economical and environmental target variables. The project will have as a result an on-line combination of hardware and software for the plant operator support which will suggest values for the set points of certain manipulated variables and also certain maintenance activities depending on the current plant status. The system will be targeted to the improvement of the boiler efficiency, to the reduction of the NOx, S02 and particulate emissions below the legal limits, and to the improvement of the plant availability with low initial investment costs
