Objective This project brings a fresh modelling and optimisation approach to the vital areas of global sourcing, distribution and supply chain management. The objective is to be able to take real cases of supply networks, build stream- lined models of them using cost information and statistical analysis of their behaviour and thereby to simulate and optimise the networks. The result will be a decision support system for managers which is more realistic and adaptive, and presents portfolios of solutions to both long and short term logistics management problems.
