Cel The main objective of the project will be to design, develop and test new cost-effective control system components to be integrated in wind turbines of more than 1 MW of power. These new components and its specific objectives will be: . To design a new medium voltage (>=6,000 volt) synchronous generator, together with its frequency control system for 50 Hz . To design an advanced control algorithm that will act over the blade pitch and over the main shaft, in order to reduce mechanical and fatigue loads induced in all of the components of the wind turbine. .
