Obiettivo The objective of the work to undertake is to develop a novel technological approach for the production ofanticorrosion metals o be used in transportation and construction, the areas of the SMEs interest. The partners of the foreseen consortium will develop a methodology to more efficiently treat the metals in such a way that the highly corrosion resistant products will reach the market about 1 year after the completion of the research. The technology will be based on the novel approach based on a vacuum arctechnology that does not produce any toxic chemical waste and is 10-15% less expensive than existing technologies. The technology will utilize an ionic cleaning with a novel source with large aperture that will provide low surface impurities. The technology will be tested in a lab and at the SMEs premises; the possible market will assessed. The economic effect is estimated by 1:200 in a 4 year period with respect to envisaged investments.
