Analytical laboratories for antidoping control: international network for external quality assessment

Objectif

New regulations in doping control analysis, require that laboratories seeking IOC Accreditation must be previously accredited by the quality standard ISO 17025 (equivalent to EN45001). In accordance with the ISO-17025 rule, one of the requirements to assess the quality of analytical results is the participation of accredited laboratories in intercomparison studies, and the regular use of adequate reference materials. At present there is not an interlaboratory testing program in accordance with the ISO-17025 meeting the standards of ISO/IEC Guide 43-1 (for proficiency testing programs). Main objectives are as follows: 1) To implement an interlaboratory testing program meeting the ISO/IEC Guide 43 among European IOC accredited laboratories network 2) To accredit according to ISO/IEC 43 a network of centres supplier of the interlaboratory testing program.
