Cel

The applicant will be trained in state-of-the-art stable isotope techniques and their application in plant physiological research. The co-operation with researchers at the host institution will broaden the applicant’s research experience especially in the fields of plant water relations and soil nitrogen transformations. Experience in supervisory skills will be gained through direct involvement in PhD and graduate research projects, and in undergraduate teaching. The expertise in mycorrhizal research of the applicant will be useful to researchers at the host institution in a number of ongoing projects on microbial nutrient turnover in forest soils and on plant rhizodeposition and soil biological aspects of sustainable agriculture. Additionally, the experience of the applicant will be used in teaching through the involvement of the applicant in undergraduate courses.
