Grenoble high magnetic field laboratory

Objetivo

Description:

The Grenoble High Magnetic Field Laboratory runs jointly by the Centre Nationalde la Recherche Scientifique (CNRS-France) and the Max-Planck Gesellschaft (MPG-Germany) is a leading international laboratory pursuing research in the highest static magnetic fields technically feasible. The laboratory is granting access to user groups from the European Union and Associated States, to carry out their experiments in the facility in static magnetic fields as high as 30 teslas providing them with all local, technical and scientific support for investigations.

This includes visible and infrared optical spectroscopy, magnetic resonances, refined transport and magnetization measurements, performed in the high field magnets under extreme thermodynamical conditions including very low temperatures and very high pressures. Open at no cost to users, the laboratory will deliver 1800magnet-hours to about 90 individual researchers during 3 years provided their proposals have been accepted by the international programme committee.

Application:

Application procedures and technical information can be found on the web-site of the laboratory. Information concerning how to apply are given on the web-site of our laboratory: http://ghmfl.polycnrs-gre.fr.
