Objective
The IALSI project will contribute to the RTD priority 1.1.4-9.: Support Research Infrastructure addressing the Community support directed to the transnational co-ordination with the aim to complement and improve the infrastructure of an existing research facility. The work is focuses basically on the improvement of the management structure and environmental chamber hardware to enhance the exploitation by offering facile access and data exploitation tools to "external users" of the installation. The implementation of quality control measures will clearly improve the quality of the scientific results in the ongoing research activities at this installation in the area of atmospheric chemistry within the 5FP. The creation of databases with quality assured parameters and concentration-time series including data on reactive intermediates and products is unique in terms of the wealth of detailed information, which will become available to the whole scientific community. The information will greatly help to assess the impact and interaction of photochemistry processes on the global changing environment.

Funding Scheme
Funding scheme (or “Type of Action”) inside a programme with common features. It specifies: the scope of what is funded; the reimbursement rate; specific evaluation criteria to qualify for funding; and the use of simplified forms of costs like lump sums.
