Objetivo The objective of the project is to analyse the roll spalling failure theoretically and practically in order to find models to predict roll spalling and to deal with it correctly. Increased knowledge of the mechanisms causing problems is needed to optimise the process. This knowledge will be obtained and introduced into the pass schedule calculation by means of chemical and microscopic analysis and trial plants.
