Objetivo The project aims at validating a metallurgical model in different hot rolling conditions and to implement it on-line. The model will allow the prediction of the final mechanical properties and the microstructural characteristics of hot rolled steel strips immediately after production. The model will be validated on the selected hot strip mills, improved in order to reduce the observed deviations and extended in order to satisfy new elements not taken into account yet. The metallurgical modelling approach will also be compared with statistical models and neural networks.
