Objetivo This research project aims to improve pyrometallurgical processes for treating zinc- and lead-containing dusts and sludges, whether they are produced directly or result from recycling within the plant. Work will include the study of pre- and post-treatment of charges and intermediate products in order to obtain richer Zn and Pb fractions. Purification processes for Zn and Pb enriched materials, arising from pyrometallurgical processes, will be developed which are able to produce cleaner fractions of various metals, more suited to metallurgical industries.
