Objetivo The rapid growth of the use of thin-walled steel in the building and construction sectors is predicted in Europe. The objective of this research project is to produce practical design tools for applications of cold-formed steel members and sheeting. The results of the project will promote the use of harmonised and reliable design aids and methods in Europe. It is estimated that in the medium term the project will lead to a potential increase of the market for cold-formed steel products up to 200,000 tonnes a year.
