Cel The project aims to develop galvannealing for high strength steels in a wide range of steel grades in order to meet the demands of the automotive industry. Two types of applications are involved: deep drawing grades with yield strength in the range 200-300 MPa obtained from rephosphorized interstitial- free and bake-hardenable steels, and strip with yield strengths from 300 to 500 MPa for reinforcing parts made from micro-alloyed steels. Two galvannealing cycles are to be investigated; the normal cycle corresponding to gas and medium frequency induction heating and the square cycle with large heating and cooling rates.
