Competence centre for marine technology applied research (CEMTAR)

Objective

CEMTAR forms a base for supporting the ship design, building, operation and repair activities in shipyards, ship repair yards and related enterprises to bring them more efficient and innovative solutions through integration into European structures with enhancing the R&D activities of Ship Design and Research Centre (CTO). 4 target areas, which CTO can provide the supports for industry are selected: marine hydromechanics, marine structure, marine materials and marine standards. The package of measures includes conferences, seminars, thematic network cooperation, visits, and supports for postgraduate and Ph.D. studies, scientific courses, workshops, twinning and revitalisation of R&D-based relations. CEMTAR objective covers European dimension. There are some tasks also in the national levels and therefore this proposal is submitted, requesting 50% of fund from EC.
