Technologie nouvelle pour la transformation du beurre de karite dans les zones rurales africaines

As a substitute to traditional production of shear butter, the project objectives consist in developing a mechanical extraction process based on centrifugal separator. The users being groups of women in remote rural areas, the process should be simple to operate, easy to maintain, inexpensive and efficient. The project impact will consist in an increase of shear butter production and quality, through new channels of commercialisation, together with an increase of income of rural women involved in shear butter processing. The project will test the new process in 2 African countries, and will produce methodologies about socio-economy and quality on she abutter, in relation to the markets of she abutter.
