Objetivo The research will examine the effect of - the equilibrium of C-Mn/Ni or dispersoids (Nb, V, Ti), - the structure of normalized or quenched and tempered steels and the spread and segregation of inclusions. Finally the H2S content of structures following welding will be examined with tests on actual welded joints and on simulated HAZ (RPI machine). The mechanisms of the initiation and propagation of SSC cracks will be the object of particular attention, account being taken of heat treatment and rate of thorough working and surface electrochemical reactions.
