Objetivo ECOLINK aims to assess what research is needed to enable Ecocentres to better fulfil the roles expected of them by public authorities and stakeholders. Ecocentres are different sites which combine applied environmental R&D with sustainable technology demonstration, visitors and training centres, dissemination and local development roles. This will be achieved through inventories, case studies, and four thematic workshops, bringing together researchers, stakeholders, Ecocentre operators and decision makers, addressing research needs relevant to Ecocentres' roles in(a) environmental R&D implementation(b) nature conservation(c) local sustainable development and(d) EU environment policy implementation.
