Objective A consortium of four proposes to launch a project for implementation of Technology and Innovation Foresight exercise in Bulgaria and Romania: Applied Research and Communications Fund-Coordinator, CRIMM Foundation from Romania, FORTH from Greece, and University College London, UK. Neither Bulgaria, nor Romania have implemented Foresight so far. The mission of the Foresight project in both Bulgaria and Romania will be to contribute to a national innovation strategy looking 10-15 years ahead, thus creating conditions for optimising public investments in technology development and innovation. The current project will provide both countries with an opportunity to implement a new policy instrument to respond to the challenge to develop a clear and sound vision about the place of Bulgaria and Romania in the enlarged Europe.
