European hospital (-based) bioethics program

Obiettivo

The proposal is meant to address the problem of lack and different educational programs in bioethics in hospital setting in Europe. Aim of the project is to develop a network of European hospitals sharing the same teaching and training methodology on clinical bioethics. Objectives of the project are:
1) to survey the current experiences of educational programmes in various western and eastern European countries;
2) to elaborate a model of basic bioethics course;
3) to test the model in 10 participating countries;
4) to validate the model and to produce a textbook. The expected results are: increased knowledge about bioethics actives in European hospitals; an acquired formative model on clinical bioethics; a shared approach and didactic tools for clinical bioethics in European hospitals.
