Objective The aim is to determine the effects on transcriptional induction of genes in cells by polyphone metabolites and to compare this to induction by the original polyphone. This will combine the use of photochemical metabolites found in the blood in humans in vivo with the use of cultured cells and primary cells and techniques to measure gene expression.
