Cel DESCRIPTION OF WORKThe ETVS - Process allows to process liquid and pasty waste such as sewage sludge and solid biomass such as wood waste and to utilize the product-gas for Power-Generation and ash as raw material direct on site. The following illustrates the Process when treating sewage sludge with the ETVS: The sewage sludge (2% solids) will first be dewatered to highest possible dry substance contents. The produced filter cake will be dried to high solid contents in a low temperature Dryer (FBD). The dried and pelletized sludge will thereafter be converted into low-BTU gas by gasification in an air blown, atmospheric Fluidized Bed Gasifier (FBG). The electric power generated from the cleaned low-BTU gas will meet the internal load demand of the wastewater treatment plant. Heat recovered from gasification and power generation is used for the drying process. This process which can be entirely self-sustaining as to the overall energy balance when gasifying raw sludge with more than 30% solids can help to solve the sludge disposal problem being caused by the new regulation coming into effect in 2005.The building- and maintenance-costs can be very low by combining the ETVS-process with advanced biological waste water treatment processes. Construction and operating cost of waste water treatment plants can substantially be reduced by integrating the ETVS - Process into the biological treatment units of advanced waste water treatment plants. In conventional thermal treatment disposal has the priority. Cost and energy balance appears to be of minor importance for these treatment options. The cost of sludge disposal is mainly determined by the process applied. With the energetic synergy effects of the ETVS-process through heat recovery the maximum possible synergies will be achieved in practice.Link to the project homepage: www.sedis.org Dziedzina nauki engineering and technologyelectrical engineering, electronic engineering, information engineeringelectrical engineeringelectric energyengineering and technologyenvironmental engineeringwater treatment processeswastewater treatment processesengineering and technologyelectrical engineering, electronic engineering, information engineeringelectrical engineeringpower engineeringelectric power generationcombined heat and poweragricultural sciencesagricultural biotechnologybiomassagricultural sciencesagriculture, forestry, and fisheriesforestry Program(-y) FP5-IST - Programme for research, technological development and demonstration on a "User-friendly information society, 1998-2002" Temat(-y) IPS-2000-1.2 - New approaches to technology transfer Zaproszenie do składania wniosków Data not available System finansowania CSC - Cost-sharing contracts Koordynator ALCATEL NV Wkład UE Brak danych Adres STRAWINSKYLAAN 341 1077 AMSTERDAM Niderlandy Zobacz na mapie Koszt całkowity Brak danych Uczestnicy (2) Sortuj alfabetycznie Sortuj według wkładu UE Rozwiń wszystko Zwiń wszystko PRO LERNEN Niemcy Wkład UE Brak danych Adres KRUGERSTRASSE 4 85716 UNTERSCHLEISSHEIM Zobacz na mapie Koszt całkowity Brak danych SOCIETA ITALIANA PER L'ESERCIZIO DELLE TELECOMUNICAZIONI Włochy Wkład UE Brak danych Adres VIA PIETRO CRESPI 1 20127 MILANO Zobacz na mapie Koszt całkowity Brak danych
