Objective Controlled tapping systems like sliding gates or submerged nozzles have a tendency of clogging due to tramp materials, dispersed in the steel. it is aimed to find out relationships between the mechanisms of flow behaviour of liquid steel and the clogging effect. For this purpose model trials will be carried out with different systems, different degrees of openings and casting speeds.
