Objectif This project will enable the fellows to perform quality research in resolving the problems of seismic and geological characterisation of deep-marine reservoirs. They will benefit from a team environment where scientists of different nationalities and domains work together. They will also be encouraged to interact with experts in sister Schlumberger Research and Development centres in Europe and the U.S.A. The project will be carried out in an industrial environment characterised by a reputation for scientific excellence, hence the fellow will benefit from exposure to issues involved in the applying fundamental research ideas towards the development of innovative, commercial concepts and products. The fellows will also benefit from the technical challenges posed by the deep-water environment on the oil and gas exploration and production business, and broaden their scientific expertise in an area that is economically promising. The company will benefit from research expertise and the input of fresh ideas from the fellows. The output of this project will be invaluable for the understanding and future development of deep-water reservoirs.
