Reliability of HSLA welded constructions

Ziel

The aim of this project is the improvement in the quality of large welded pressure vessels made from a high strength low alloy steel. The final aims will be: - to avoid high preheating temperatures during welding - to eliminate postweld heat treatments - to avoid the risk of brittle fracture under hydrostatic loading.
