Ziel

The aim of the project is to perform the continuous casting of square blooms of high alloy steels up to the size of 265 mm square on the new two-strands horizontal billet caster of the Siegen plant. The originality of this caster is the synchronous oscillation of the twin mould and tundish aggregate whilst the withdrawal is controlled independently on each strand using direct current motors.
