Objective The project aims to go on with the developments started in the contract 7215.CB/804 for the direct casting in a slurry state of steel strip between the rolls of a vertical operating mill. Beyond the development of a new slurry generating system, the project will cope with the development of the automatic control of the process as well as with the lateral containment problems of the steel cast inside the mill. To avoid the project being interrupted, the contract will start on the 1st April 1990.
