Objectif The Roth Amsted International Biomarker on 'Bio products from Plants and Microbes', planned over 2 1/2 days on 7-9 November 2001, is a partnering event for some 200 researchers, industrialists, investors, patent agents and others interested in promoting the development of plant and microbial products. The event will help in harnessing the rich genetic and natural resource base offered by the living world and stimulate the development of innovative practices and products that can bring added value across several industrial sectors. EU support is sought to incorporate opening sessions that will raise awareness of the scientific achievements and direction of Key Action 3 and provide a promotional platform for selected plant biotech/microbial-based Sees from EU countries. The Biomarker will therefore support the Quality of Life Programme directly - and indirectly strengthen technology entrepreneurship across the EU.
