Objective
This multinational research is aimed at providing a simplified method of calculating the buckling behaviour of hot rolled steel sections subject to fire to satisfy the requirements of Part 10 of Eurocode 3 concerned with Structural Fire Design. The works will involve theoretical simulations, data collection and analysis; a number of full scale fire tests shall be conducted to confirm the theoretical analysis and include an extension to previous results by taking into account the effect of load eccentricity.
