Objectif A joint IRC is proposed for NRW, Germany, and Malta. All actions target the consolidation of the ERA and are performedin this context. The overall target is 70 transnational technology transfer (TTT) agreements between European SMEs. Awork-plan of services for clients has been defined to promote TTT, i.e. actions for awareness raising, contact andassistance, e.g. company visits, technology audits, dissemination of technology offers/requests and transnationalevents. TOs generated from Community research results/EUREKA/ESA will also be integrated. Other tasks arestimulation of the capacity to adopt new technologies to create a future generation of IRC clients and signpostingof clients to other services offering assistance in matters linked to TTT. Second priority is services for colleagueIRCs aimed at supporting the improvement of the IRC network (provision of high-quality TOs/TRs, joint/multi IRC actions,e.g. joint brokerage events at major trade exhibitions within and outside the Thematic Groups, company missions, staffexchanges, provision of self-developed instruments to the network). Other actions in support of TTT/innovation includedevelopment/testing of new tools and models for the sustainability of the network beyond 2008 (e.g. working group oncharging policy for IRC services). Professional project management via appropriate operational procedures is an integralcomponent of the proposal. ZENIT´s and MCST´s joint proposal is based on the previous two-year mentoring agreement. The already establishedrelationship will permit the faster integration of Malta into the IRC network. However, as the IRC nodes in NRW and Maltahave different operating parameters (client base, regional/national technology transfer landscape, host structures) andare geographically far apart, each node has formulated its own independent parts of this proposal. Increasing integrationand synergies between the two actors are intended and envisaged.
