Ziel

The aim of this research project is to investigate the relationship between creep and welding techniques for T91 steel. Optimization of these techniques will allow this steel to achieve its full potential for use in high temperature situations and to be accepted in European standards. Welding techniques such as EB, SAW, SMAW and GTAW will be studied using non-destructive testing techniques on the welded joints, together with detailed studies of welding and pre-heating parameters.
