Obiettivo It is intended to explore the modelling of cold forging and cold extrusion operations where high strain rates and gradients are involved, to determine the main parameters for simulation, to measure a range of experimental variables, and to apply finite element analysis techniques in describing simple cold heading operations. Some validation is proposed on hydraulic and mechanical presses.
