Objectif ProComDoc is presented by Pierre and Marie Curie University (UPMC) (coordinator) and University of Granada (partner) on behalf of seven other universities, all of them belonging to EUA Doctoral Programme Network 1. UEA conclusions show that, besides the s cientific ones, doctoral students (should) acquire generic and professional skills through their doctoral studies. But they rarely know how to communicate on them. To fill this gap we propose to entrust the organisation of events to doctorate teams intende d to communicate to a large public on the added value of training by research in conformance with the Initiative Objectives. We want to convince recruiters that doctors can handle project management in any professional, intercultural, intermanagerial frame work. We want to convince young students that doctoral training is worth considering, not only for research but also for mana- gement careers. To help doctorate teams to manage these events, we propose them an additional training on com- munication ski lls and on the subjects adressed by the communication process. To design a methodology for conducting such actions, we will analyse (SWOT) the whole project. First, the nine universities constitute doctorate teams and prepare these events (Months 1-4). Sec ond, in Month 5, five delegates of each team will attend a doctorate seminar, co-organized by the University of Granada and UPMC. They will defend their project and be trained on communication, according to cultural and managerial specificities of European countries. Delegates will have to share there gained communication skills with their team during the completion of the preparation of the local event, giving a snowball effect to the Granada school (Months 5-7). Third, a debriefing meeting (Month 7) will be organized in Paris to perform a SWOT analysis of the events, to advertise on such actions in the context of mobility and employment of research trained scientits and managers.
