Objective
The eContent project PEMTE has provided on-line localised e-learning material about micro-finance in two languages (Russian and Serbian). Developing an original Pedagogical Environment for Multicultural Training, PEMTE created digital content material, consisting of interactive on-line training modules on micro-finance integrating all necessary functionalities for autonomous handling by the individual user. Each module was adapted to the language and culture of the user. Several pedagogic "grains" of each module could be accessed via various paths depending on the user's personal profile and qualification.
PEMTE also aimed at supporting the integration of customised content into existing training centre programmes in various EU countries: the creation of online material resulted from a partnership between PlaNet Finance and an Eastern European training centre with the overall objective to facilitate the integration of target groups addressing the information society. This favoured the dissemination of common knowledge on micro-finance through e-content customisation while taking cultural specificities into account, and thus led to the broad dissemination of micro-finance practice as well as the implementation of best practice in Eastern Europe.
