Obiettivo The proposal addresses a current need for novel ultra high-strength deep-drawable steels with high manganese contents of up to 25 wt.-% and extremely improved properties for lightweight construction.The aim is the selection and development of suitable technologies and routes of metallurgy using steel production in the EAF and the related aspects of secondary metallurgy for the production of these steels.The proposal objectives will be achieved by a combination of some specific theoretical investigations, laboratory development and of larger-scale trials.
