Ethics of emerging Technologies

Objective

Ethics of science and technology is a hot item on the agenda of research policy makers especially in Europe and North America. In particular, the responsible development of emerging generic areas of research such as nanotechnology and converging technologies are a matter of concern for policy makers as well as leading research bodies. Young researchers must be trained in ethics of science. This project consists of a series of two training courses for undergraduate and graduate students, as well as young researchers working in academia or industry, in the EU and associated states. The topics are: -ethical aspects of nanoscience and technology; -ethical aspects of converging technologies.
