New tools to improve clusters key European Technology Transfer

Objective

Both Cluster initiatives and Technology Transfer are important part of European, national and regional policy to increase competitiveness of economy. IRC network is recognized as a good tool to increase trans-national technology partnership between companies in Europe but the number of TT partnership is still to low according to the effort engaged by IRCs. As a group of 6 IRC organisations from six different regions (hone-Alpes. Bourgogne, Lombardi, Greece, Baden-Wurttemberg and Belgium), the NEWTICKETT partners are among the most experienced IRCs in TT and their regions all have cluster initiatives. As clusters are community of research organisations, big companies, SMEs and Start-ups all focussed on technological innovation, they are a good target to develop and test new methodology to reach a better productivity of TT organisations. NEWTICKETT aims at developing a TTT aproach which is based on four mains points:
-Cluster members as targeted population with both individual and collective approach
-Proact ive approach based on working on all the innovation value chain from market to research taking in account innovation strategy and project of companies
-Produce 120 TT company innovation plans which integer TT as strong way to increase competitiveness
-Us e regional, National, European and international networks and events to disseminate cooperation opportunities and implement partnership, Cluster organisations and IRC thematic groups will be involved in the project to give their inputs in methodology and results assessments.
Beyond the methodology, NEWTICKETT will also contribute to increase networking between European TT networks and European clusters. NEWTICKETT will also promote and disseminate the new methodology to all IRCs and cluster organisations in order to improve TT global efficiency. AS research organisations are involved in clusters, NEWTICKETT will also contribute to improve relation between public research and SMEs.
