Cel The project will investigate the theoretical and experimental aspects of double-diffractive Higgs production. Exclusive diffractive production provides an exceptionally clean way to study the Higgs sector in the Standard Model and its supersymmetric extension. The theoretical study will include all aspects of diffractive production, including possible CP-violating effects. The possible experimental backgrounds to the Higgs signals will be determined, and the optimal conditions for the experimental detection of Higgs bosons will be found.
