Integration centre for central Europe for research in energy supply from fossil fuels and renewable sources

Objective

The European priorities in the energy sector and soon accession of the region to EU cause strong necessity to better integration of the activities in Central Europe in the area of research, production and distribution of energy from different sources. The project establishes Energy Integration Centre for Central Europe to improve links between similar institutes in the different countries in Central Europe as well as with energy research centres and power generation and distribution companies.

The strategic objective of the Centre is improving the energy supply systems by increasing efficiency of energy production, while the pollutants emission should decrease. In particular the diversification of energy sources and integration of new RES with national energy systems actually based on fossil fuels is the most important.
