Objective
In the frame work of the implementation of the Mobility Strategy for the European Research Area and to improve the living and working conditions of mobile researchers in Europe, the European Commission has initiated the start-up funding for participation of Macedonia in the European Network of Mobility Centres-EURAXESS Services (hereafter EURAXESS Services Network). The Macedonian Ministry of Education and Science has recognized the above-mentioned initiative as a very important issue and appointed the working group to submit the proposal which aims at establishing the Macedonian Network of EURAXESS Services Centres (ESC). The Network will be constituted by the Bridgehead Organization (BHO) itself functioning as EURAXESS Services Centre and four additional EURAXESS Services Centres (ESC) located in each of the four State Universities in Macedonia, but also leaving the door open for private Universities to join the Network. Obstacles to be overcome: • Non-existence of mobility centre(s) • Non-existence of a network of the mobility centres Thus, identified is the necessity of establishing initial EURAXESS Services Centre (ESC) equivalent with the bridgehead organization (BHO) identified in the National Agency for European Educational Programs and Mobility of R. Macedonia and consequently four EURAXESS Services Centres (ESC) located in the four State Universities in Skopje, Bitola, Tetovo and Stip with the main purpose of: - Encouraging more abundant international mobility of researchers; - Removing obstacles to the mobility of the researchers and overall human resources in Europe - Enhancing the EU’s attractiveness for research talent - Offering researchers and their families (whether incoming from Europe and wider or outgoing from Macedonia), comprehensive and up-to-date information and personalised assistance in all matters relating to their professional and daily lives.
